Diff. between Blogs & Websites

In reality anyone can create a blog or website. However, opinions and personal ideas are usually shared through blogging. Websites are more objective, used for informational purposes, and usually are in formal writing. Blogs can be very opinionated, biased, or written by people who may have no credentials for what they are saying. Blogs also can be humorous, rude and use slang or informal language, whose main purpose is to share personal views, rather than expose factual information. Then, blogs have a section where readers may comment on the blog, again anyone can do this. Whereas, websites may only list an email account where comments or questions can only be sent to that privately, not for the public eye to see their opinion.
